I am extremely honoured and humbled that Sadie and Tom, have shared their story with me. They hope by doing this, it will assist fund raising for Doncaster Neonatal Unit, and raise awareness and support for other families effected by premature birth.
Martha was born premature at 28 weeks, weighing a tiny 2 pounds. Mum Sadie had no idea her blood pressure had become sky-high, and was still working. She was suffering from pre-eclampsia. She had no hospital bag ready, and thought she had another 3 months to prepare. An emergency doctors appointment led to the birth of premature Martha within hours.
